Not a secret: the house was full when we walked in :P
Salam and welcome back peeps! Today, i'm doin a short-recommendation *i dunno if should be even callin it that* of a wonderful eatery that doesn't really blow a hole in your bank account. Firstly, The place is called "Sajian Wadihana Islamic Kitchen" or SWIK for short. Located at the heart of Bangi, Selangor *full adress below*.
Okay straight to foodism:
I'm not a food critique, so i'll not touch much on the details :)
The StarterThat night we (my family of four including me), each ordered something different for ourselves. But a starter, we had panna cottas under strawberry jam. The panna cotta was served cold i guess, which is verryy nice, not too creamy, not too jelly-ish! *If you've never had panna cotta, try one here :)*
My Main FoodNext, our orders came: i had lamb-shoulder steak, which had a 2 piece lamb-shoulder *each the size of a large pizza slice* in black pepper sauce *i think*, with fries, corn on the side. On another note: all the foods served were presented and arranged nicely, i was almost under the impression that i was eating at Secret Recipe :>
The meat was tender enough, no extra force was required to tear the meat ;) Meat was juicy, juicy, juicy means that it wasn't overcooked, nice! My knife went over slicing the meat with ease. Rest assured, no meat went flying off the table, just my corn cob ~_~ *why is it so difficult to slice the corns off the cob without making it flip?*
See, no corn cob on the plate because it fell to the floor, then a cat ate it ~_~
OthersWell, i'm not really gonna give out much detail on the other dishes that came to the table except the Alfredo, which is the only dish i've tasted besides my own lambs. The Alfredo was served with spaghetti noodles, so much chicken cubes and their version of creamy white sauce. It was almost perfect i guess, except that the sauce was a bit too salty, which im guessing they applied too much butter in the making. Still, hats down for making it reaaally creamy *though my mother didnt really liked it much*
VerdictVerdict: Hurm...total amount spent on the dinner that night was around RM100, that makes an average of RM25 per person which included 5 separate main dishes including the Alfredo and lamb-shoulders, 4 servings of panna cotta, and 4 drinks.
I guess that was pretty nice, considering it was a dinner for 4 :) I honestly thought it would've reached RM200 hehe~ So it's affordable, it tasted wonderful, the place was clean, the service was nice, what more can a person ask? :)
For that, i give 9/10 marks! The -1 was because i my corn flew off the table...GRRR *logik ke nak tolak 1 markah pasal tuh? :P* Anyway, im looking forward to my next visit at SWIK! Till then:Happy eating! Wassalam~
